  1. Review order of operations with real numbers.
  2. Simplify and evaluate algebraic expressions.
  3. Solve linear equations and inequalities.
  4. Solve various type of word problems using linear equations and inequalities.
  5. Study of exponential rules and scientific notations.
  6. Study of polynomials and perform operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, divisions. Synthetic division will be visited if time permits.
  7. Study of linear equations in two variables, learn to graph such equations by finding intercepts and use of slope of a line.
  8. Study of parallel and perpendicular lines by comparing their slopes.
  9. Extensive studies of factoring polynomial expressions, and solving polynomial equations using the zero-product property
  10. Study of rational expressions, and perform operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with rational expressions.
  11. Solve rational equations and variations, and use these topics with various type of word problems.
  12. Solve system of linear equations with two variables by graphing, substitution, or elimination methods.
  13. Study of completing the square and quadratic formula and use these methods to solve quadratic equations.
  14. Graphing vertical parabolas and identifying intercepts, vertex, and the axis of symmetry.
